Let’s Learn American Sign Language!
This fun and interactive ASL class teaches basic day-to-day signs, finger-spelling, and simple ASL grammar through games and activities. It helps develop communication skills while also learning about Deaf culture. In the end, students will be able to use a new and interesting language to express themselves.

Hi there! My name is Abbie Phillips and I am a Cuesta student graduating with my AA in Social and Behavioral Science. I have been learning about and using American Sign Language since I was 9 years old, I have taken ASL I, II, & III at SLOHS, I was an interpreter for an after school flag-football program at C.L. Smith in 2019, and have supplementally taken ASL I & II at Cuesta where I have been the ASL tutor going on 2 years now. |
